We listened to a great talk by James Taylor who runs Arcus Animation where he introduced himself and gave some good advice about running a business. It was actually really insightful. He talked about his own journey and gave some great advice about what he learned and also how he has social media pages called anemates for animators in the north east to get together. I actually already joined the group a while back. I think it may have been because I also seen James on a stream about a year ago when we were in lockdown. But yes, it was good to hear somebody down to earth, working in our region, talking about their experiences. It does actually make me think twice about whether I want to work for a studio or somehow set up my own. I was thinking about how there isn’t that many 3D studios in the north east.
